A spotty fishery at best , water fluctuation has very profound affects on the fishing and its aquatic life, crawfish n nesting baitfish suffer as well as the angler , low water levels make for difficult shoreline fishing also BOATS N WADING are PROHIBITED .. The Oradell Reservoir was formed by a dam placed on the Hackensack River in Bergen County, New Jersey, completed in 1923. The dam is located in Oradell, but the reservoir also straddles the borders of Haworth, Emerson, Closter and Harrington Park.
