There is no better place to fish.
spring=trout onshore
summer=bass onshore; trout offshore
fall=trout everywhere
winter=everything
i landed ten trout in an 1 hour 15 minutes. i even caught a 14 inch brown bullhead catfish!!! i have a picture of it and will post it soon
ball pond was rated number 1 bass fishing pond in the state. it had the state record trout! i even watched a man land a ten pounder the other day!!
actually ball pond is underfished and if you really want to get a taste of some real action go offshore. you catch everything. i used to never catch anything on shore but that fabulous day when i cagt all those trout catfish and largies. a knew fantasy came. in my dreams i picture myself on my boat fishing for trout and bass. ball pond is defiantly an underfished fishing paradise.

Decided to try out ball pond after reading the reviews and seeing pics now ive been fishing for about 15 years and ive never been so disappointed going there every other weekend all summer and only coming up with average catches seems to me like its an overfished pond these days all that record trout talk is in the past
io know i just commented already but this is important to. this website says that ball pond is 50 feet at deepest. they were well off. Beleive it or not ball pond reaches 92 feet at it's deepest!!!
trout and bass thrive in ball pond. someone said wind kills the bite, but i dont think anything can with how much im catching. As number one bass fishing pond or lake in the state, it has mighty bass. It even had the state record brown trout of 9 1/2 pounds. It has been beaten in other places now but a man just caught a ten pounder right off shore!
outstanding
There is even chain pickeral. in there. common car. Nuber one bass fish pond/lake in the state of connecticut. state recor brown trout was caught there often.
